About Stephanie Van Heyde
Stephanie has over 23 years of extensive and diversified banking and financial services experience in various areas of finance, lending, sales, management, public relations and customer service. Stephanie is a proud graduate of Miami University (OH). Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she made the move out west in 1996. Her love for real estate and development started with a financial management job with a custom home builder. With her background in banking, making the transition into mortgage financing was a natural progression. Stephanie has enjoyed working at Peoples Mortgage since 2013. Prior to coming over to Peoples, she has enjoyed a successful and satisfying career in mortgage financing going back to her start with State Savings Bank in the spring of 1997. Her roots are in portfolio, construction and builder spec financing. As the industry changed, so did her focus. She now helps her clients with all types of purchase and refinance programs including: conventional, conforming and non-conforming programs as well as FHA, VA, USDA and government grant programs. Aside from work, Stephanie is passionate about her friends and family. She loves to travel and she craves being on the water, in the air or on a trail. In addition, philanthropy has been an underlying theme throughout her life, a trait instilled in her by her parents. Her proudest philanthropic efforts lie in being a co-founder and board member of Buck Breast Cancer. What started out as a fundraiser during a football game watch party has now turned into a non-profit 501(c)3. Since its creation just 5 years ago, BBC has donated over sixty thousand dollars to The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center (James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute). Previously she was an enthusiastic member of the Golden Gate Guild holding various positions such as Vice President and Co-Chairperson of the “Celebrate” annual fund raiser. In addition, she is also a member of the Young Buckeyes of Phoenix, a networking, charitable and social organization. Change is healthy and inevitable. Having the flexibility to adapt is a virtue these days. Everybody has had to make changes in both their personal life and the way they do business. However, as the lending environment has changed extensively and economic challenges persist across the board, Stephanie believes that her value system has remained the same. She prides herself as being a person of integrity and loyalty who has always followed the philosophy that it is better to “under promise and over deliver”. Communication is one of her personal strengths and she enjoys cultivating relationships throughout the lending process with her clients as well as her business partners. She is excited about the opportunity to assist the community in making their dream of home ownership a reality.
