In the past few weeks, the world has changed rapidly. We have seen the good, the bad and the not so pretty in a matter of weeks, days, and even minutes. The current state is one that is made up of constant change and people must adapt quickly to keep moving forward. There is one thing that doesn’t change; our commitment to our employees, customers, and community.
During COVID-19 the safety and well-being of our Peoples family is of utmost importance and we are doing everything in our powers to make sure we are setting up the proper measures to ensure that safety. All employees who are able, have been moved to a work from home status. For those staff that are essential and must remain in the office, we are taking all necessary safety precautions recommended by the CDC. We remain open for business in order to process all our customers’ mortgage needs—whether that is a refinance, new purchase or just questions; we are here for them! Many of our technologies allow us to conduct mortgage applications on-line—everything from documentation to signing forms we have technology that can facilitate it. For those areas that are newer to us—we adapted quickly! Learning to host client and realtor meetings and classes via on-line avenues is just one of the many ways we are moving forward in this new era. Our goal is to help our customers with their mortgage needs as safely as possible during this time.
There is a lot of information in the news around COVID-19 and its effect on the housing industry. We are working round the clock to stay on top of this information and provide our customers with the most up-to-date information. We have created a page on our website that is a collection of all the information we are discovering, including VALUABLE information on the recent CARES Act. Finally, Peoples has always believed in giving back to the areas where we live and work. Before the stay at home regulations, our employees played an active role in their local communities. During this unprecedented time, we will do our best to continue this practice in the safest ways possible. We are exploring ways our employees can help the community from the safety of their homes. Corporately we are discovering new ways to support local non-profits and small businesses that need us the most right now including; our Pay It Forward campaign to thank those essential employees and support local restaurants.
